RealSports Baseball for the Atari 2600, released in 1982, was Atari's more advanced attempt at a baseball game compared to their previous Home Run, featuring a full baseball diamond and gameplay elements like fly-balls and tagging fielders. Players can select swing types, with options for two-player or single-player games and different strike zone rules. While the game introduced key baseball features, some critics found its gameplay, hit detection, and AI to be poor, making it a disappointing experience for many.
