On January 15, 2019, an expansion entitled Elsweyr was announced. The expansion takes place in Elsweyr, home of the Khajiit, a setting that has not been playable since The Elder Scrolls: Arena. It introduced a necromancer class and a new storyline involving dragons. A new trial, Sunspire, was launched.[41] The expansion pack was released on June 4, 2019 for all platforms.[42]
